Smashing Theme
Design Disease created this GPL theme back in February of 2008. Now it is available for Drupal. The sidebars are really cool in blue, yellow, and pink. I also like the submit info (username, date posted).

Many of us know and read Smashing Magazine. Last week SM had their First Anniversary celebration and Vitaly ask me to do a wordpress theme for this occasion. This was an honor for me and say thanks in a special way to this magazine for the content they provide. I haven’t got so much time (around 4 days) but i came with an idea and did the theme. Vitaly asked me also to detail the creation process of this colorful theme. You will find that information on the release post on Smashing Magazine.

You're free to use this template for both commercial or personal use, and now because of webthingee... this is available also as a Drupal Theme. We only ask that you link back to our two sites in some way.

Adjustments needed for Drupal:
Primary Menu has a max width not to inter fear with search, I included a backup of that graphic you can replace and adjust the max width if do desired.
Search (block) is styled in case it's needed
added roll over block support for config and edit
Notes:
The background image is designed for the search in the header, you will want to enable the default search
Node Titles are limited by max width to not inter fear with the date on the right side
